When it comes to color coordinating, turquoise and red are at the top of my list of favorites. One of the best ways to combine colors if you are not comfortable doing it with your clothing is via jewelry; especially statement necklaces like this one from Sculpted Tree shop on Etsy. As well as the colors, I like the contrast of sizes and shapes.

If you have not figured it out yet, Etsy is an excellent online source for finding unique pieces of jewelry (as well as plus size clothing). I came across this Fire Engine Red Branch Coral Statement Necklace by GEMLYN today and I think it would be an absolutely fabulous way to dress up that old boring black dress (or grey/navy/white…)  in your closet. It is definitely a statement piece! It is available at Etsy for $118. Too expensive for your pocket book? Have a look around Etsy and you will find jewelry designers who offer their wares in all price ranges.
