Last night I actually used the L’Oreal again before I went out and I decided enough was enough when I got home and threw it out. I was reading some “fair” skin reviews last week and I want to try Gosh’s BB cream in Sand which sounds like it is quite nice. But it’s $22 for a small tube here so I am watching the fliers hoping it goes on sale. I thought $16 was pushing it for a drugstore brand but they really like to push the dollars these days. I would really like to try some authentic Asian BB’s some day.

I saw this post link a couple days ago and wanted to come back and leave some comment love. I haven’t used drug store BB creams other than to swatch and take pics for my site but was never impressed with the textures or what the called fair. It seems, like you were saying, they are not impressive. American BB’s are nothing but gorified tinted moisurizers mostley. My go to is Tarte’s BB Primer in fair. I use it alone for sun protection a slight coverage and as a base for my “full on face”. It like all products works differently on different skin types (I am combo sensitive & love it).

I love the concept of Birchbox and wish they shipped up here — I am on a waiting listing for Topbox which I think is the Canadian equivalent to the idea. I never thought to add moisturizer while blending, thanks for the tip.

It’s a little too dark for me in winter, but I just add some extra moisturizer and it blends in perfectly.
