New From Kiyonna

I think when I first visit Kiyonna the first thing I fall in love with is the colors: red, green, plum, maple and gold. Definitely makes me think of fall. Five of my favorites from Kiyonna’s new collection are the lipstick red bellini, the olive green sheath dress (and I am not usually a big fan of green), the plum ruched top, the maple twist dress (also in a hot magenta), and the golden cocktail dress (awesome in allover black too).

The Nadia Knit Belini ($68) is one of my favorite layering pieces that Kiyonna has been carrying over season after season with new colors. The Olivia Sheath Dress ($118) is just so pretty and flattering with its vertical ruched bodice. The Rylan Ruched Top ($58) has the same neckline but the ruched fabric is horizontal and just as flattering and with long sleeves. The Tamara Twist Dress ($118) has so much going on, all with the fabric, a twist here, ruching there. And the Cosmo Cocktail Dress ($158) would be the go to dress for the upcoming holiday season. Despite the all over lace it is modern and polished. All in sizes 10 to 32.

I am disappointed their shipping costs to Canada are so obscene; starting at $30 for the first $300.

Berry Cocktail Dress

Loving the dazzle in the Holly Berry Dress from Maximum Woman. The Toronto based store has opened up online and has reasonable delivery. They carry some familiar looking brands like Kiyonna, Swak, and Igigi. This lovely red dress is available in sizes 1x to 6x for $80. While it might be too late for Christmas there’s still time for New Year’s!

Plus Size Evening Dresses

The go to place for plus size evening dresses is Igigi. They are the top runner for well-made dresses (and career wear) designed for the curvy body. I have two fabulous dresses from them and highly recommend you steer yourself their way for the holiday season. Here are just a few styles they have to offer.

These first two dresses are from Igigi’s Limited Collection. The Savona Lace Dress on the left is $162 and comes in sizes 12 to 32 (some sizes selling out fast). The Seinna Dress on the right features the rosebud accent which is one of the hottest trends right now. It is $168 and is available in sizes 12 to 28.

For more formal occasions there are the Modena Gown with flattering princess knot and flowing fabric for $192. It comes in sizes 12 to 32. The Empire Waist Gown with jewels has been a staple and a personal favorite of mine with it’s elegant crossover skirt. It is sold out of all sizes except 12!
